The news was shocking and bitter. Another young iranian doctor killed himself and .

This death occurred while only one month has passed since the suicide of “Prasto Bakshi”, a cardiologist in Lorestan. “Samira Al-Saeidi” was young and specialized in rheumatology. He was working in Shariati Hospital and was the International Vice President of Amir Alam Hospital.

Samira had spent many years studying to reach her current position, but in April of this year, she couldn’t stand it anymore and took her own life despite having a child.

Another statistic shows that the suicide rate of doctors has increased 5 times in the last few years. Seyed Mohammad Mirkhani, a social consultant of the Medical System Organization, warns: “The rate of suicide among doctors and residents has increased, and it is likely that the suicide rate of doctors in Iran will soon surpass that of other countries.”

This doctor also emphasizes: “We are currently at the beginning of a wave of migrations and suicides in the medical community.

This is the introduction to the current situation, and in my opinion, it is the result of years of medical mismanagement, which will continue if this process is not stopped. In such an atmosphere, reforms are not the answer and there is a need for transformation.”
