Free hospitalization for children under 7 remains in effect

Iran’s Ministry of Health has denied reports claiming that free hospitalization for children under the age of 7 has been canceled, confirming that the policy remains in effect and violations should be reported through the 190 hotline for follow-up.
The head of the Ministry of Health’s Public Relations Center has rejected claims circulating on social media that the policy of free hospitalization for children under the age of 7 has been canceled, stating that the regulation remains fully in place.
Hossein Kermanpour said in a post on X that reports claiming the cancellation of free hospitalization for children under 7 are false and that there has been no change in the implementation of the policy.
He also called on citizens to report any medical centers that charge fees in violation of this regulation through the Ministry of Health’s 190 hotline so that the issue can be investigated and followed up.
