In Iran 2,500 people from Khuzestan visited hospitals cause of air pollution

Due to the air pollution from 16 to 20 November, 2,500 people with respiratory problems have visited the hospitals of Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in Ahvaz. Doctor Maitham Moazi said.

During this period, 10% of the patients were hospitalized and other patients were treated on an outpatient basis.Vice President of Medicine at Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz added.

“With the increase in air pollution in Ahvaz and being in a purple and very unhealthy state, the number of patients with respiratory problems increased significantly. On normal days, 350 people come to hospitals with breathing problems, but on November 19, this figure reached 580 people and it increased a lot”.Moazi said.
