End of mortgage of academic degrees at the Ministry of Health

Dr. Seyed Jalil Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Education at the Ministry of Health, has revealed new measures to alleviate the challenges faced by students regarding the release of their academic degrees and the prohibition of purchasing their service commitments. Addressing the issue, he stated:
“The current restrictions on degree release have created an unfavorable sense of confinement and control for students in universities. Our goal is to break this perception and create a more open environment.”

Emphasizing the importance of fulfilling service commitments in underserved areas, he added:
“All committed students must provide their services in deprived regions to serve the community. However, if feasible, part of their commitments could be waived, enabling them to pursue further education.”

Dr. Hosseini highlighted the broader policy direction of the Ministry of Health, saying:
“We aim to dispel the notion that students are being unfairly pressured or that their degrees are being withheld as leverage. The reforms are currently underway, and the outcomes will be announced soon.”

These remarks provide hope for students grappling with obligations tied to their degrees, signaling a positive shift toward a more flexible and supportive approach in addressing educational and professional aspirations.
